Yay!
I really love my job.
Today I was on the till, and a lady came through buying some Angels on Bare Skin. Fairly uneventful, happens all the time because that cleanser is so damn good. This time, however, it happened to be a lady who I helped out a couple of months ago. She’d come in with quite bad eczema on her hands, the cracked, sore kind (:() and wanted a soap to have a go at sorting it out because she has a little one so is washing her hands a lot. I sent her away with a chunk or two of our most moisturising soaps and a sample of Dream Cream (of course). She came back a couple of days later to buy a whole pot of Dream Cream for the baba, and today she showed me her hands which are just…hands. They look beautiful. No cracks, no dry bits, no flakes. More than anything I was just so pleased for her, but it really made me think about how much I love my job. That is exactly the kind of thing I love, I really helped out just by knowing a little bit about soap.
Also, we were manic today, I loved it! I love my store, I love my managers, I love my job.
Awesome birthday present #3
My brother picked me up this morning to go a-voting and said he had a birthday present for me. As soon as I got in the car he plugged my headphones into his iphone and played me a birthday message from Frank Turner himself! My brother interviewed Frank back in January for his podcast, so that means he managed to keep it secret for four bloody months! That’s incredible in itself.
Ahhhh it was so nice to have Frank record a personal message for me! I feel so special. :D
I freaking love sunshine.
Even though I get to spend the next three hours on a train, I really love sunny days and am super excited to get out into it. I’m wearing a hat! On the bus I made a sunny day playlist as well, it consists mostly of ska but what else is sunshine for?!
I don’t care how uncool I look.
I fucking love Coronation Street.
I love it all the time not just this week, but I especially love this week because:
- An episode EVERYDAY. Some days more than one.
- Each episode so far has made me cry.
- ALL THE RUBBLE.
- ALL THE BLOOD.
- I quite like guessing which of the characters I know and like are going to die.
I love this band. My t-shirt came today so I’m super happy about that, listening to the album and about to cut it up into something awesome.
Mike and I are seeing them in just over a month - YAY! Definitely don’t want to wait for that one, but I suppose I will, with reluctance.
Going to have me some of this tomorrow, because my lovely boyfriend is coming down a day early due to a gig cancellation. I’m going to bed now, lots to do in the morning before his arrival! Actually getting some food in is a priority.
