Lush 30 Day Challenge - the last few days!

Do you have a favorite compounder?

I do not. I like the name ‘Wiola’ though.

What issue of the Lush Times has been your favorite? Do you keep all of the old issues?

I think the Christmas issue this year is really beautiful, but I don’t keep back issues.

What is one product you really want to try but haven’t?

I haven’t tried any of the shaving creams yet and I would like to. Maybe on payday.

Favorite hair treatment product?

Marilyn, of course! Blonde blonde blonde.

What is your ULTIMATE, ALL TIME favorite Lush product and why?

I hate having to pick just one, but Daddy-O does an amazing job on my yellow tones and you can really tell the difference when I don’t use it.

Lush 30 Day Challenge Days, 23, 24 and 25.

Do you keep your shampoo bars/massage bars/body butter bars in the Lush designated tins?

Negative. Tins are for travelling!

Favorite emotibomb?

It was Up You Gets. I’m not bereft without it, but they were nice.

Where/how do you keep your Lush stash?

It’s mostly on a rack on the bathroom windowsill (which doesn’t get any heat or light). This has meant some of my ballistics have gone a bit soft before I got to them, so I’m switching to tubs of some description when I can be bothered. Shampoo lives in the shower, as does the boyfriend’s bubble bath (which is Happy Hippy and Dirty shower gels). Cleansers live in the bathroom cupboard, moisturiser is in the kitchen (obviously). Soap is wherever there are sinks, and spare soaps are on the racks. I also have a pot of Helping Hands at each sink because I am ridiculous and I love it.

What is your favorite shampoo or conditioner from Lush?

Daddy-O! You can really tell if I’ve not used it for a while, it’s that good at ridding blondes of yellow-y tones.

Lush is a very ethical company in terms of their sourcing and campaigning, as well as all the green initiatives they take for packaging. Are Lush’s ethics a reason why you use Lush products?

Partly, yes. I am a full-on meat eater, but I don’t think that animals need to be involved in my cosmetics, there’s no need to hurt bunnies so I can wash my hair.

I also really like the green promises that they make and uphold, and since I’ve worked for them I really like the DIY thing they have going on. I love that we do it all ourselves, and stuff like the window displays - we build or put together a lot of stuff!

What is your must-have-on-hand product from Lush?

At the moment I am blasting my way through loads of Lip Service. I get so dehydrated and it really shows in my lips. Other than that, Helping Hands. I have two or three pots in my flat (and it is not a big flat), my hands get really dry if I’ve been washing up or something and my elbows are RIDICULOUS at the moment and it’s really helping.

Lush 30 Day Challenge Days 17, 18 and 19.

Favorite retro product OR product that has been discontinued?

I really liked Noubar, so I’m quite sad that’s gone and there’s Snowshowers jelly and Iced Wine jelly that I wish were back this year for Christmas.

How do you feel about the Lush Dirty line?

I love it! I use all of it bar the shaving cream, absolutely ADORE the shower gel and soap, the toothy tabs are a beautiful spearminty thing, the perfume and body sprays are crazy good and the hair styling cream alas doesn’t do a lot now my hair is long but still smells amazing!

If you’ve had a terrible day, what Lush product do you use for a pick-me-up?

Ooh, a nice bubble bath I think! Probably The Comforter or Karma. Or maybe a Phoenix Rising ballistic, something nice and spicy.

Lush 30 Day Challenge Days 14, 15 and 16.

What are your favorite Lush blogs online to read?

I like Lushies Unite, and the Lush tag on Tumblr.

Favorite Lush face skincare products besides cleanser (toner, moisturizer, serum, etc.)?

This weekend I am super in love with British Nanny! I put the tiniest bit on yesterday morning and my face is STILL super soft. Gorgeous.

If someone was to buy you a wrapped gift from Lush tomorrow, which one would you want?

All I Want For Christmas. It makes me sing, and LOOK AT THE BOX IT IS BEAUTIFUL. And it’s full of wonderful things, obviously, I guess that goes without saying.

Lush 30 Day Challenge Days 11, 12 and 13

Favorite limited edition product (holidays, etc.)?

AHHH CALACAS. I love it. And Calaveras/Skullduggery of course, and Lady Catrina. Lime TASTIC.

How did you first hear about Lush? What enticed you to buy a product?

I think I smelt it first. It was Leeds or Wakefield (pretty sure it was Leeds though) and I went in and everyone was so nice and friendly and the products smelt and looked so nice and pretty.

Favorite bubble bar or bath melt?

I had to have a think here, I adore Ceridwen’s Cauldron - it’s so lovely for the skin but I think in terms of bubbly fun I’d have to go for Christmas Eve or Blue Skies. I love Blue Skies.

Lush 30 Day Challenge - Day 8, 9 and 10.

Have you ever used a knot wrap before? If so, what is your favorite pattern?

I have indeed. I love the swallows pattern and Enora which is one of the Christmas patterns. We do have some hilarious vintage patterns come in though.

Favorite face cleanser?

Angels on Bare Skin - hands down! I wish it didn’t smell like lavender but I am willing to plaster myself in a scent I dislike because it’s SO WONDERFUL.

If you were to give your best friend a product from Lush, which one would you give him/her?

That would depend on the best friend. I’d buy Emmy some Whipstick because I know she likes it and loses it a lot.

Lush 30 Day Challenge - Day 7

Favorite Gorilla perfume scent?

Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty. Dirty.

Lush 30 Day Challenge - Day 6

How often do you visit your local Lush/order online?

I work in my local Lush, so I’m there quite a lot…I don’t order online much, but I probably will more now that the website is smashing and retro all looks amazing (and now I have money and a bathtub, of course). Before I worked at Lush I was in there whenever I could afford to buy stuff really, so not often at the start of the year, but moreso in Summer last year, maybe twor or three times a month.

Lush 30 Day Challenge - Day 5

Unfortunately day 5 doesn’t apply to me at all because it’s about the US forum party and (obvs) I am in the UK. So instead I’ll tell you about a mishap at work today.

One of the guys I work with at Lush had his last shift before Uni today and was all jovial and playful (which is pretty normal). In the process he decided to spritz me with a bit of Love perfume (despite the fact that I don’t like it) and I looked up at the wrong time and wound up with an eye full of appley, cinnamony fragrance. Ouch.

It went bloodshot and stang for a long time, and now I look like I’ve been punched apparently! Haha, it was fun because Harry felt terrible, but it was a genuine mistake and he very demonstrably felt awful about it - no (lasting) harm done.
